Deniliquin’s Country Women’s Association has celebrated a dream start to its involvement with the Naponda Farmers’ Market, selling out its entire stock of scones well before 11am on Saturday.

CWA volunteer Erica Singleton said the response exceeded all expectations.
“We were thrilled with our first farmers’ market stall,” she said.
“It was a complete sell‑out, with more than 120 scones sold.
“We are very grateful to Naponda Hospital Auxiliary for warmly welcoming us to the market, and to our wonderful community members for supporting our first stall.
“We hope everyone left with full tummies.”
At their first farmers’ market stall, the CWA members offering the organisation’s tried, tested and famous scones made using the same recipe served at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
CWA caps and cookbooks were also available, and members ran a raffle featuring a hand‑crocheted blanket lovingly made and donated by Maggie Law.
Mrs Singleton said the branch hoped to return to the market again.
“We hope to do it all again in the future,” she said.
All proceeds from the stall will support CWA activities in the community.
