Fifteen healthcare professionals from the Campaspe, Gannawarra and Bendigo shires have graduated from the emerging leaders program.
Healthcare personnel from Echuca, Cohuna, Kyabram, Rochester and Elmore united to participate in a leadership program aimed at developing management skills among aspirational and emerging leaders.
The aspiring leaders celebrated the program’s completion at Echuca Regional Health on Friday, November 11.
ERH chief executive officer Robyn Lindsay said the program provided budding leaders with the tools to manage a rapidly evolving health service environment.
“The leadership program aligns with ERH’s strategic plan of building leadership excellence and capability and support personal growth and development of our people,” Ms Lindsay said.
ERH subacute rehabilitation physiotherapist Renee Eddy said the initiative had encouraged her to voice her ideas, to learn more about herself and to be a team player.
“The ultimate goal of the program is to drive change and improvement,” she said.
The Emerging Leaders Program is guided by Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE and provides healthcare professionals with strategies for how to plan on an operational and strategic level.
