The DNA enlisted the help of volunteer firefighters from the Mid Murray Rural Fire Service and their high pressure hoses for a working bee on Saturday evening.
They headed down to the netball courts and spent several hours cleaning and scrubbing the shelter sheds.
Despite the sweltering heat, these tireless heroes worked in full uniform to clean out the sheds and ensure they were clean and sparkling.
The DNA autumn twilight comp and NetSetGo are due to resume on February 14.
A link for registrations is available on the DNA’s Facebook page, or you can contact Donna at deninetball@gmail.com.
Active kids vouchers are welcome.
Watch the big game
Although its not quite AFL or NRL season yet, the Deniliquin Bowling club has your dose of sporting entertainment covered.
The club will have a live screening of the NFL Superbowl on Monday, February 12.
Watch the Kansas City Chiefs go head-to-head with the San Franciso 49ers in one of Americas biggest sporting events of the year.
Due to the time different, the game is expected to be aired from 10.30am our time.
The club will open at 10.15am.
Patrons will be able to purchase their lunch.
Summer’s not over yet
Summer might be almost over, but the weather we come to expect from the season is only just arriving.
After the absolute scorcher of a day that hit Deniliquin on Sunday, which recorded a top temperature of 38ºC but felt a lot hotter, it certainly doesn't feel like autumn is on its way.
While a reprieve comparatively, this is still expected to be quite warm with tops in the early to mid-30s.
So it's important to remember your sun safety.
Make sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest parts of the day.
Help wanted
Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to the community and have some fun at the same time?

Back to school
Our playgrounds will be a lot quieter this week, but our schools will all be back in full swing within the coming days.
The new school year has finally begun for the remainder of local schools.
We just want to remind you that it also means restricted speed zones around schools are also back in force.
The reduction to 40km/h at the start and end of the school day is designed to keep children safe.
Not adhering to these rules can be dangerous, and could also see you have to part ways with some much needed cash.
