Voices for Goulburn Valley will host an event in Kialla for its endorsed independent candidate, Lou Costa, to meet the community.
Former independent federal Member for Indi Cathy McGowan will be there to throw her support behind Ms Costa.
Ms Costa will speak at the event, offering the community a chance to get to know her better and ask questions.
Ms McGowan said she was thrilled to see a community independent put up their hand for the Shepparton District seat ahead of the Victorian election next month.
Ms Costa said she was extremely thankful for Ms McGowan’s visit.
“We welcome supporters and friends to join us in this grassroots celebration of the shared values of community-driven change,” Ms Costa said.
“What a wonderful opportunity we have to meet one of the founders of the ‘Voices For’ movement and learn about Cathy McGowan’s insights,” she said.
The event will be held at the Peppermill Inn in Kialla on Thursday, October 15 from 6pm.
