Local regional homebuilder Hadar Homes have sweeped the Master Builders Association (MBA) Regional Awards for the Riverina Murray Region.
The regional MBA awards were held recently in Albury and aim to encourage, promote and recognise best practice in residential and commercial building across regional New South Wales, rewarding outstanding workmanship, innovation and teamwork.
Hadar took home the major award for the Residential Builder of the Year along with four others; Best Display Home $500,000 - $700,000; Best Contract Home under $400,000; Best Contract Home $800,000 - $900,000; and Best Medium Density Dual Occupancy.
A home built by Hadar in Foster Court, Mulwala won the Best Contract Home $800,000 - $900,000.
Hadar have been a proud local builder in the local area for several decades with the motto of building homes that “go beyond simply looking good — they deliver an intelligent design, value for money and peace of mind”.
Hadar is an ancient word meaning “honour” — a quality which has guided the building company from day one.
When founder and Director Rick Leeworthy was a humble plumbing contractor in Yarrawonga back in the 90s, he constantly experienced a gap between the promise and the delivery of builders.
In 1995, Rick established Hadar Homes to return honour to his profession. Since then, he has built a dedicated team that takes pride in their work and continues to put client’s needs first.
Rick’s daughter and Hadar Business Development Manager Jess Murfitt said her father unfortunately wasn’t at the awards, but it was nice for three out of his four children to be able to accept the awards on his behalf.
Jess along with Matt (who works in investment and development at Hadar) and Dan Leeworthy (a supervisor at Hadar) were proud family members to be there for the awards evening.
“This was our biggest number of wins in one event since the business began in 1995,” Jess said.
“The Residential Builder of the Year was a major award for the evening and was an incredible honour to take this out amongst a great number of our competitors.”
Jess said awards like these don’t just come along they are earnt by putting people first which is a philosophy that continues to set Hadar apart.
The MBA regional awards covered the Riverina, Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and Murray Regions.
