The film explores rural mental health, grief and the hidden struggles facing farming communities, making it particularly relevant during October, which is Mental Health Month.
Cobram Rotary Club president Bill Tom described the night as “very successful” and said there was a “real sense of community in the room”.
“It was a well worthwhile night and a rewarding night for its discussion about mental health issues,” he said.
“The discussion was looking at ways we can support each other, be better prepared to help people that might be struggling; whether it be ourselves or someone we recognise in our family or community.”
Mr Tom said the idea for the screening came from Rotary member Sally Ivone, who had previously seen the film and encouraged the club to bring it to the local community.
“We had a great committee of Rotarians working on bringing the project to town, which included extensive publicity to inform people that the event was on, alongside great support from sponsors to fund the event,” he said.

Before the screening, attendees gathered for a barbecue, providing an opportunity to catch up and reconnect with others in the community.
Following the film, a panel discussion explored its themes and broader mental health issues, with audience members actively participating and asking questions.
Film writer and executive producer Leila McDougall was also a part of the panel.
Mr Tom said the film was confronting, and the discussion helped attendees consider how they could respond to similar situations in their own lives and communities.
He said the panel also highlighted the range of mental health services available to people seeking support for themselves or others.
“The feeling in the room at the end was quite positive as people felt like they’d learnt something, and they’ve got a better understanding of what some people in the community are going through,” Mr Tom said.
“I felt I left the room better equipped to respond to people that are around me, or it might be myself, that are facing challenges. I feel like I’m better equipped to respond to that.
“The Rotary Club is pleased that we were able to bring the event to town, we think that it was a well worthwhile event.”
