Pigeons Loft

Pigeons Loft

The club wishes to pass on its condolence and acknowledge the passing of Maureen James and Barry Norman.

In a strange twist of fate Barry Norman’s grandson was playing for the Bulldogs and by gee did he turn out a few little moves. Well done Darcy!

4 wins from 7 outings but the footballers are yet to record a victory. Fingers crossed the boys can grab some points this week.

This week we head up the highway again to meet the Raiders in what will be a big challenge for both clubs, hopefully it is a great day of football and netball.

Further, this year the season’s events have been scheduled with the following listed:

24 April – A Day on the Green

29 May – Ladies Day

3 July – Club Ball

31 July – VMAs

7 August – Premiership Reunion

Junior and women’s football kicked off on Sunday and it was great to see so many Pigeons out and enjoying football whether that be playing or watching.

Next week is the first proper “home game” and to celebrate we are again hosting the annual day on the green.

Be sure to get in and get your tickets. Further, memberships are still for sale at Hargraves, 16 Orr Street.

Football Awards: 1sts Tonna, Lovell, 2nds Forge.

Netball Awards: A: Irvine, Oswald, B: Nolan, Finch, Dickins C: Bailey, Jones U17: Harvey, McRae.

Pigeon Con Joke (in light of injuries) – “I told my doctor that I broke my arm in two places. He told me to stop going to those places.”
