The comment was made by Bundalong Tavern Manager Brett Butler about the lead-up to Australia Day, Australia Day itself and Saturday.
It all starts at 6.00pm this Thursday, January 25 with, two big football names in a Footy Legends and Comedy Night at the Bundalong Tavern, as well as a footballer comedian.
One of the biggest AFL names ever, Wayne Carey, will accompany Collingwood champion Peter Daicos on stage.
A stack of laughter will occur with the Suburban footballer comedian and plenty of information about the two, big name stars will be ascertained by you, the audience.
How good were they? Carey, along with Ted Whitten, was the best centre-half-forward the game has seen. Daicos was such a talented and clever forward with that magnificently executed kick along-the-ground which went through the big sticks; he is also the father of present-day Magpie stars Nick and Josh.
Great stories will be revealed. Many excellent items will go under the hammer in an auction. They have to sell!
4,000 expected at rodeo
A big crowd is again expected at the popular rodeo.
The Bundalong Rodeo is back! There will be action aplenty, from 3.00pm to 9.00pm on Australia Day, this Friday, January 26.
“We expect a crowd of up to 4,000 people from right throughout Australia,” Mr Butler said.
Entertainment follows the rodeo from 9.00pm to midnight, with Melbourne artist, acoustic singer Anthony Lorenzo.
Then there’s Jon Stevens!
Back by popular demand, Jon Stevens – The Noiseworks and INXS Collection Tour is coming to the Bundalong Tavern. The show will start at 4.00pm with local artists with the man who replaced lead singer of INXS Michael Hutchens, Jon Stevens, to take centre stage at 9.00pm.

“We hope that everyone enjoys these events. It’s a spectacular line-up on three consecutive days at a great time in the year.”
