Practice Matches
There was no game last Saturday, as it was AFL Grand Final Day. This Saturday, Club Mulwala will play against Berrigan Bowls Club in the last practice match before Saturday Pennant begins on 10 October.
Club Mulwala hosted Benalla Bowls Club last Tuesday for a practice match and won the day overall. The club has a very talented list this season, so the selection committee has a task ahead selecting the sides. It will not be an easy job.
Thank you goes to the players who donated morning tea, and to Ann, who distributed the sandwiches. It was a great club effort hosting so many players.
Club Mulwala will play intra-club practice matches until Midweek Pennant begins on Tuesday 13 October.
Western Border Challenge
Cobram Bowls Club hosted the final of the Western Border Challenge last Friday to decide who would take home the Cup for 2026. Club Mulwala defeated Tungamah, while Cobram defeated Yarrawonga. Cobram won the competition overall to secure the Western Border Challenge Cup for 2026.
