It was great to see non bowlers out there having a go and one lady said it had always been on her bucket list.
Those that didn’t join in sat and enjoyed the antics on the green.
Afternoon tea was a huge success and thanks to a few ladies who were awesome. Thanks also to the men who supported it by their presence.
Tuesday 14 - Midweek Pennant: Not as good a result as the day prior. Tungamah travelled to Corowa RSL. The green was terrific, and they defeated Tungamah getting up 67 to 49 shots.

Saturday 18: Both Tungamah teams were at home, playing Club Mulwala. It’s always a great day with the green full, the talk and friendships between the two clubs is what sport is about.
Thanks to the spectators and supports of both clubs who attended. The afternoon tea was magnificent and appreciated by all players and supporters.

Australia Day Triple Tournament – Monday, January 26 - Get your team organised now.
First Responders “000 CUP”.
Tungamah Bowls Club member Stuart Ralph attended the St James 60 & Over Tournament to make a presentation of this “000” Cup.
Held in March, surrounding local towns first Responder representatives from Fire Brigade, Police, Ambulance and SES attended this brainchild Bowls event of President Muz O’Halloran.
The idea was to give these people, who many owe their lives too, a chance to have a day of freedom, relaxation and just social interaction with other likeminded local heroes, without stress and away from their phones.
As this day was such a success and appreciated by all who attended, it was decided to make it an annual event.
A cup was then purchased, engraved and will be competed for again on March 17, 2026. St James Fire Brigade, team of Gavin Fear, Steven Murphy, Jenny and Anthony Beggs were the inaugural winners of this prestigious cup.
Some of these play bowls and were present on this day. Steven Murphy graciously accepted this cup and committed their Fire Brigade to defending it in March.

ClubMulwala Outdoor Bowls Club
Midweek Pennant begins
Last Tuesday saw the first round of the Midweek O&M pennant. This again saw mixed results for Club Mulwala with 1 win and 2 close losses.
A2. Played at home against local rivals the Golf Club on 3 hard fought rinks. Best of the rinks was led well by skip Dane Ryan with Darkie Day's rink managing to take the lead with 6 ends left and maintain it till end.
Les Spencer's rink were well down early but fighting back to go down by 1 leading to a good win overall for the team.
A3. Travelled to the Commercial Club for their first-round encounter. All rinks battled hard with Ian Morrfew's rink doing the best to be the only winning rink on the day.
Unfortunately the other 2 rinks struggled leading to an overall loss for the team.
B2. Had the short trip to Corowa Civic to begin their campaign. In another close encounter Club Mulwala bowled valiantly to go down overall by a handful of shots. Faye Cooks rink being the best of the day coming away with the only win.
Saturday pennant
Round 2 of the Saturday pennant saw both A3 and B1 travel to Tungamah for the afternoon bowls.
In a good day for Club Mulwala, the club came away with 2 overall wins for day. In the A3 the rinks were shared 2 each with Gary Parker's rink leading the way with a good margin and Dane Ryan's rink again performing well to set the win up.
The other 2 rinks kept their games tight with one losing by 1 shot and the other losing by 2.
The B1s had a tight match all day with 2 close rinks exchanging the lead through the match. Ian Morrfew's rink again had a good margin win to keep Club Mulwala in front on the main board while Stan McIntosh's rink managed a 3 on the last to give Mulwala its 2nd rink win and ensure the overall win.
B2. Played at home against Corowa Civic in what turned out to be a very tight tussle with Club Mulwala losing overall by just the 2 shots.
Liz Murdoch skipped her rink to a well-deserved win but unfortunately the other 2 rinks went down. The results of all the games highlights the importance of the trailing rinks to keep their scores as close as possible to take the advantage of a winning rink having a good margin.
