Wednesday Social Bowls
Wednesday, 27 May, saw another solid turnout of 48 players participating.
Games were played in the north-south orientation across both greens.
Norm Windebank and Tony Durkin have been on a winning streak over the past few weeks, and Wednesday was a case of situation normal for the pair as they again scooped up first prize of $100 and a drink card each.
This week's runners-up were Lynne Baxter and Ray Brown, who shared $80.
The losing rink consolation prize of $50 was shared by Chris Morrissy and Vin Slattery.
The first Lucky Number raffle prize of $20 was won by Noel Smith.
The second Lucky Number raffle prize of $15 was won by Mick Reilly.
Although playing numbers have been strong, there is always room for a few more sides.
The format of nominated three-bowl pairs gives both leads and skips plenty of opportunity to show their wares.
The prize money is excellent, and if players miss out on winning money on the greens, there is always a second chance through the Lucky Number raffles.
Visitors and single entries are most welcome.
Single entries and visitors are asked to include a contact telephone number when placing their names on the entry sheets at the Bowls Office.

The second Lucky Number prize of $15 was won by Julian Jones.
Sunday Funday
The predicted weather forecast of changeable conditions and rain may have contributed to the lighter-than-normal playing numbers for this week's edition of Sunday Funday Bowls.
Nevertheless, 16 players enjoyed a great afternoon, particularly first-place winners Karen Bianco and Chris Morrissy.
Karen and Chris shared $40 for their efforts.
Second place went to Ron Lamson and Dennis Miles, who shared $20.
