The club had a successful day at Katunga last weekend, led by the senior footballers, who claimed the first win of their season in a 28-point victory.
The Blighty fourths and junior netballers also all brought home wins.
The club have a chance for another positive set of fixtures when they play against Rennie on Saturday.
Rennie has some strong teams, particularly in the junior grades, but both clubs hold fairly even season records.
This includes in the senior football, with Rennie also getting their first season win last week.
Blighty head of football Gav Gledhill said the senior footballers have shown they could win ahead of the game on Saturday.
“Our senior team has been playing really good football against the top sides.
“So it was no surprise that if we could continue that form against the lower sides, a win wasn't far away, and it was wonderful to be rewarded for those efforts against Katunga.”
This week, the seniors have a prime opportunity to pick up their second win of the season against Rennie, who are bottom of the ladder by percentage.
However, both teams will be riding high after last week, Gledhill said, and both teams will be trying to continue that form.
“We have a real opportunity to string a couple of wins together against Rennie this week, but it won't come easy, as with both sides coming off their first win everything changes.
“Especially confidence among the players after weeks of being beaten after playing great football, all of the sudden players see their team structures working and try to execute them earlier in the game and maintain the efforts longer.”
“If we can maintain that winning hunger and confidence in our game, I expect us to play well.
“Being rewarded for so much hard work finally from everyone at the club from volunteers to executives to players means so much to Blighty as our support base I think is one of the biggest in the league.
“To give something back in the form of winning or being extremely competitive is the very least we as a group can do.”
The Redeyes are doubling down for this game, bringing in some experienced players to add to the team that got over the line last week, Gledhill said.
“The big ins for us are the coach Dane Leyden and winger Darchi Clarke with Boddie Arthur, whose experience in defence gives us great leadership back there.
“Thanks to a couple of the reserves for coming up and helping out against Katunga, and they will probably play the early game.
“But that is Blighty and the path we are pushing forward with all in together and our players' commitment is unquestionably as good as it's been in a while in our efforts to rebuild our wonderful club.”
