In windy but sunny conditions at Tocumwal, the Hoppers took on the Bloods.
The seniors lost the toss and kicked against the breeze in the opening term, with Tocumwal kicking nine goals.
Rennie struggled to get players winning their positions and it did not improve much from there.
Positives included Dillon McGillivray, who has featured among the best players every week, while Lewis Taylor has hit form.
Darrin Clarke and Ben Woodhouse continue to put in a red-hot effort each week.

The Hoppers reserves found the going tough into the breeze but pushed back in the second term to trail by 12 at the main break.
They again ran out of puff and eventually went down by 43 points.
Damien Walker played his best game, Jake Fonston did well in his first game, and Kyle Stokes is putting together a great run of performances. Longy kicked two goals.

With coach Pickles laid up in hospital, the Hoppers were again undermanned but not underdetermined.
Hodgson was the standout, well supported by Hemphill and Bruce, who were efficient whenever they got the pill, while Knight tackled and harassed strongly.
Truey kicked the only goal.

Rennie 3.2, 7.3, 8.7, 11.12 (78) defeated Tocumwal 0.0, 0.1, 0.1, 0.1 (1)
The two undefeated teams entered the clash, but it was the Hoppers who emerged as the only unbeaten side with a 77-point win.
Rennie won all four quarters, restricting Tocumwal to just a single point.
Ednie kicked five goals, True booted three, and Santoro added two as multiple goalkickers, while Wallace again gave his onballers first use.
Legudi returned from injury and used the ball well on the outside.
Rhodes showed great use of the ball by kicking to advantage, while Bott used the ball long and direct.
It was an even team performance.

The little Hoppers loved the big ground and were able to showcase their skills and running.
Billy Bos was impressive helping all his teammates, Evie’s kicking and ball control were excellent, and Jack Dodd took a couple of great marks.

The club also thanked the social committee for the great job they did with the ball on Saturday night at Club Mulwala.
Rennie now has a week off before hosting Katamatite at home on May 30.
Netball
A Grade
Rennie 36 defeated by Tocumwal 46
Rennie A Grade faced Tocumwal in Round 7, finishing with a 36-46 result after a competitive and physical game.
The girls matched it with Tocumwal for long periods and continued to apply pressure right across the court.
The attack line worked hard to find space and convert opportunities, while the midcourt produced a strong four-quarter effort to keep the ball moving and create drive through transition.
Defensively, the pressure and persistence never dropped, forcing turnovers and keeping Rennie in the contest.
The team continued to show growth, composure, and resilience throughout the match, with every player contributing and supporting one another from the first centre pass to the final whistle.
There is plenty to build on heading into next week.

B Grade
Rennie 20 defeated by Tocumwal 58
The sun was shining brightly in Tocumwal and so were the Bloods.
Rennie started strongly and came out firing, but unfortunately that momentum was quickly halted.
Despite the side’s best efforts to keep pace, Tocumwal’s consistency in the goal ring proved difficult to stop.
Ebb, Bri, and Charlotte shot with confidence and accuracy, while the team made a strong effort to rebound.
Alainah, Roxy, Liv, and Indi worked tirelessly through the midcourt, using their speed and agility to drive the ball into the goal ring.
In defence, Ella, Autumn, Celine, and Lucy worked hard to make life difficult for the opposition goalers, however the Bloods shooters were simply too accurate.
A special thank you also went to Melissa for supporting the team from the bench.
Overall, it was an improvement from last week and highlighted specific areas to focus on at training.
C Grade
Rennie 47 defeated Tocumwal 26
The match was tightly contested in the opening quarter, with both teams scoring six goals apiece.
After a few positional changes, Rennie was able to build momentum, take control of the game, and steadily strengthen its lead to finish with a convincing 21-goal win.
Kayla, Tegan, and Tess shot confidently and accurately, while also working hard for rebounds to capitalise on second-chance opportunities.
The midcourt combinations were used effectively to reset play and create strong attacking options.
Georgia was impressive in WD, using her speed and agility to apply constant pressure and stay tight on her opponent.
She showed great confidence and skill in the position throughout the match.
Georgie was relentless in defence, making life extremely difficult for the opposition goalers.
She combined well with Rach and Tess, with Tess proving to be a standout performer at both ends of the court.
It was a strong team performance heading into the week off.
The team is really starting to gel, and the rewards of working together are clearly showing on the scoreboard.

C Reserve
Rennie 22 defeated by Tocumwal 41
On another warm Saturday, the C Reserve side travelled to Tocumwal.
Each week the girls continue to show improvement in every aspect of their game.
Seeing the girls put into games what has been worked on at training highlights their development and willingness to learn.
This week Hannah claimed the Players’ Player award and the team’s top award for the day.
Playing in C Grade for the first time, she delivered exactly what was asked of her.
Hannah drove hard for the ball, chased every loose ball, and created constant flow down the court.
It was a solid effort and well-deserved recognition.
The second award went to Kate, who moved fantastically in the ring during the second half.
Her movement, body positioning, and confidence showed great improvement and highlighted the effort she has been putting in.
The third award went to Fern, who returned after two weeks away.
It was as though she had never been absent, returning to the game firing and never giving up, showing determination and effort from start to finish.
The final award went to Erin, who settled back into goals this week after spending the past couple of weeks in defence.
Erin is a great communicator and constantly encourages the girls all over the court, making her an important part of the team.
The remainder of the side also played a very consistent game, and this was Rennie’s highest-scoring game of the season so far.
It was a fantastic effort from the entire team, and every player should walk away proud of what was achieved.
Under 17s
Rennie 43 defeated Tocumwal 33
The girls knew they were facing tough opposition and started the game a little rattled.
To their credit, they dug deep, worked together, and got the job done.
Tess Bassett was a highlight in defence, reading her opponent well and creating numerous turnovers.
As coaches, the most pleasing aspect was the group’s resilience.
Even when mistakes were made and confidence dipped, the girls continued to learn, trust one another, and work together, which will inevitably make them a great team.
The coaches said they were extremely proud of the performance and would certainly enjoy next week’s rest.
Under 15s
Rennie 33 defeated Tocumwal 30
The girls knew it would be a tough match but came out firing.
Great teamwork was displayed right across the court.
Lily Lewis dominated the defensive end with numerous intercepts and rebounds, creating opportunities for goals to be scored.
Ella Wilson showed fierce determination, working hard in defence while also assisting through the midcourt.
Maisie Cope and Zali Mathieson passed with precision and worked tirelessly against strong opponents all day.
With Ava Styles shooting at 100 per cent accuracy, Rennie was able to overrun the Bloods and record a three-goal win.
It was a great performance from the girls.
Under 13s
Rennie 10 defeated by Tocumwal 26
The Under 13s fought hard in a tough game against unbeaten Tocumwal.
While the scoreboard did not fall Rennie’s way, the girls showed great effort, determination, and teamwork from start to finish.
They continued to encourage one another throughout the game and should be proud of never giving up.
Defenders Harper, Lennie, and Beth did an outstanding job applying pressure to Tocumwal’s attackers throughout the entire match.
Ruby J also had a great game, with her shooting proving very impressive.
Under 11s
Emerald team
The sun was out for a fun game against the Bloods, and the girls continued to improve their skills all over the court.
They are listening well at training and putting those lessons into practice on Saturdays.
Most importantly, they are all enjoying their netball.

Green team
Another great game from the girls this week.
They are really listening at training and applying new skills to their games.
The timing of leads is improving significantly, which is evident in the flow of the ball down the court.
Through carefully planned rotations, all girls are learning how to play each position, which has been great to see.
