Clutch comeback secures GV Squash and Racquetball premiership

Down 2-0 in a best of five, a team of Shepparton physiotherapists restored its grand final health when it mattered most.

In the GV Squash and Racquetball grand final, team Total Plaster Supplies looked to have patched up a premiership.

Total Plaster Supplies’ Nathan Ward and Taylor McPhee issued a pair of knots for the Shepp Sport and Spinal Physio team to massage out, and were comprehensive in their set wins, claiming 3-0 and 2-1 victories to open up the best of five sets match.

The early routs struck Shepp Sport and Spinal Physio with a stiff guide for victory, needing to nurse three consecutive set wins without loss to earn a grand final win.

In a tense third set, Physio’s Andrew Monichino nabbed a 2-1 set win to secure a pinch of momentum, nailing a hole into Total Plaster Supplies’ work, that if not fixed soon, would only grow.

Unfortunately for Total Plaster Supplies, they couldn’t provide the tools in time.

Carlo Palazzesi and Carlo Palazzesi charged to 3-0 set wins, notching a 3-2 final scoreline in favour of Shepp Sport and Spinal Physio.

The next season of GV Squash and Racquetball commences on May 28, with new players welcome to come along and try the sport on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
