Last Tuesday was the Pot Round, and 66 players vied for this valuable monthly prize of 50cent pots, and the lucky winner on the Blue was Geoff "Flash".
Burgess with a superb 2 under Par (31 strokes) edging Gary "News" Tribe on a countback, with Bomber Mitchell, Frank Mundy and Kerry Pendergast all being left thirsty for yet another month after missing out on a countback on 32 strokes, with Joe "The Tow" Sciberras and Graham Milner
(33) and Dom "Diamond" Fotia, Norm Moule, Andrew Brown and Ribs Reimers all claiming ball prizes.
On the Red John Groves (37) took the win edging Peter "Dozy" Dowie in yet another countback from Rick Nielson, Artie "RT" Massey, Tony Shead, Bill Lowrie and Rod Sissons all on 38 with balls going to 41 on countback.
Thursday’s game of Par saw Rod Sissons have a superb round on the Blue finishing with a 4 up to take the honours with Digger Dunne coming second with 2 up, followed by a gaggle of golfers on square led by Fabulous Phil Latham, Rick Neilson, Artie "RT” Massey and Captain John “Jem" Mason with balls awarded to -2 on countback.
On the Red scoring was much harder as Dave Hall took the win edging Noel Whitehill on a countback with a 2 up, with Greg House (
square) heading off the trio of John Hutchinson, Ron Hocking and Allan Foord on -1 with ball prizes going to -3 on countback. Don't forget our next social day June 27 - former playing members are welcome
