Rennie hosted CDHBU under lights on Friday evening for the annual Peter Murphy Cup and to assist the Good Friday Royal Children’s Appeal.
The game flowed early but the Power got on top in term 2 as their more seasoned players took control of the match.
Rennie ran out with a very youthful team with many absentees from their potential round 1 list and were happy to get through the game relatively unscathed.
CDHBU ended up winning comfortably with a final score of 10-12-72 to 1-4-10 and grabbed the cup back after a two year stay with the Hoppers.
The focus of the night though was getting some match fitness into players, and importantly supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital as the two clubs do each year.
