The Ones completed the green dream with all Rennie teams being victors. But the senior game was an arm-wrestle in the first term. The Hoppers opened with the first two goals only for Yarroweyah to respond and, by quarter-time, grab a seven-point lead.
It was goal for goal early in term two and, halfway through the term, Rennie went down to a bench of one. But capably led by coach Fountain, McBurnie on ball and Ryan presenting at half forward, an after-siren goal from Ridley saw the visitors lead by 23 at the long break.
The locals threw everything at Rennie in term three but it was a fight of defences as each side could only grab a single goal each. Fountain stressed to his troops to stay focused, saying that a couple of goals could break the opposition. But the locals held until the forward craft of Bruce and Strawhorn flowed through, with Rennie holding Yarroweyah scoreless in the final term to win by 50 points.
Bruce kicked five in a best-on-ground performance and Strawhorn kicked four, well supported by Cooke and Ryan.

Best: B Bone, A Nish, A Smith, K Hughes, T Dykes, L Wolfe
The Hoppers struggled to find fluency all day but came away with a 44-point win. Brad Bone is in sublime form and carried the team, ably supported by coach Nish and a couple of not-so-young blokes in Wolfe and Dykes who showed a rough old head still has some quality footy to play.
Longy was again the prime target forward, snagging three. The Hoppers are now 3-4 and pushing for a spot in the eight.

Great first win for the season by the boys with a comprehensive 86-point victory. It was the jet in Parker who set the wheels in motion but it was great to see Zander Rhodes backing up from the fourths, snagging five goals while Brad Burrows kicked four. Great for Perez, Langford and all the players who have toiled away to get a positive result.

The Hoppers were in charge all day, leading by 13 points at the final break, but had to hang on grimly to grab their first victory of the season by a solitary point. It was Ed Withers who kicked all three of the Hoppers’ goals and provided a target. He was well supported by Cowan who continues to develop on a weekly basis while Ednie, Jasper Rhodes and Wood played strong supporting roles.
Great job team and coaching staff.

It was the battle of the Hoppers out at Yarroweyah on a sunny yet crisp Saturday morning with both teams looking splendid in their respective Hopper green colours. The kids were all shivering early but once they got up-and-running and the ball was pinging back and forth, the cold was forgotten.
Again, it is wonderful to see the growth and improvement in the young players from week to week. A special thanks to all our sponsors and the team at RedAg for supporting the 11s with the fruit and lollies to keep the team firing on a chilly morning.

Rennie 77 defeated Yarroweyah 19
On one of the freshest days we've had thus far but Rennie had plenty of heat on the court. The girls showcased some of their many talents and kept their foot on the throttle for the entire 60 minutes. Paula Mifka back from injury, and playing her first full game of the season, shot a whopping 48 goals. She was able to direct play and assist her younger team mates in the ring with some valuable lessons.
Brooke McDougall again stepped up, if that's even possible, and worked tirelessly applying pressure no matter her position and gaining turnovers left, right and centre. A hard year for a developing Yarroweyah, Rennie wishes them all the best and admires their tenacity and hopes to see them again next year even better. Rennie 71 defeated Yarroweyah 1
It was off to Yarroweyah this weekend for the battle of the Hoppers. B Grade kept its intensity across all four quarters and focused on providing consistent pressure. This hard work paid off with a resounding 70-goal win.
Our defenders - Ella Goldsmith, Annie Robilliard and Jess Barton - were able to keep Yarroweyah to one goal with their excellent reading of the play and their defensive prowess. Ella Harvie had a stellar game taking countless intercepts in the midcourt.
Our midcourters - Alainah Bye, Georgia Phillips and Georgia Hope - were able to convert these turnovers into the offensive end with precision. Our goalers - Danielle McPherson, Zoe McKenzie and Ebony Williams - put on a clinic in the ring, showcasing textbook movement with Dee being awarded best-on-court for her outstanding holds and accuracy. Well done, B grade, on a great win.

A solid effort by the girls in Yarroweyah with a 72-goal win. A shout-out to Tegan Lee for helping out this week, fitting in seamlessly. Leila, Haylee and Tegan were strong in the goals, working beautifully together to create movement and space in the ring and shooting with accuracy.
The midcourt was solid again with Georgia, Nada and Georgie working the channels well to create strong drives and movement down the court, leading to plenty of opportunities for the shooters. Rach, Gaby and Sarah worked tirelessly in the defensive end, picking up plenty of intercepts and rebounds all game and keeping Yarroweyah to a minimal score. Well done, girls, on a fantastic win!

Rennie 47 defeated Yarroweyah 10
A nice crisp morning met the U15s at Yarroweyah for the battle of the Hoppers, and what a show the girls put on.
Mim, Shell, Mia and Ruby dominated the midcourt, all working the channels and causing plenty of turnovers. Charlotte, Jasi and Layla had a field day in goals with all three becoming a headache for Yarroweyah‘s defenders.
The powerhouse defensive trio was back at it again - Kate, Sam and Tess pipped off anything and everything they could get a hand to keeping Yarroweyah at bay the entire game. The last quarter saw a few change-ups - Charlotte headed back to her old stomping grounds in defence and Mia proved to be incredibly versatile again, stepping into GD. The donning of the GS bib has been highly requested this season and, at last, Tess had the opportunity to slot herself a few goals. Another great win for the 15s.

Our girls played an amazing team game and showed that all our hard work at training is paying off. Our passes were controlled and we didn’t rush play - and we used our second drives, just like we’d been working on.
Ruby’s constant intercepts and reading of the ball made her a standout while Ava’s goal shooting and taking on of advice saw her sinking her shots with confidence.
Maka’s positive influence on court played a huge role in our team’s dynamic and Isabel’s calm, controlled manner on court showed what a great leader she is! Well done, girls, on another great game.
