It was a particularly cold day with temperatures nudging 12 degrees, the wind actually made it seem much cooler.
The Rovers are tough opponents and with mixed results the teams certainly know what areas of their game they need to address in readiness for the finals.
A Grade
Deniliquin Rovers 54 defeated Rennie 41
The girls came up against Deni Rovers with a different line up to the previous weeks. Some inconsistency at times resulted in a loss but the girls matched it really well with a strong opposition.
The accuracy of the Deni goalers didn’t give the Hoppers defenders much opportunity for turnovers but the girls battled hard all day.
Some unforced errors coming out of defense, and the attack end made it difficult to close the gap.
The Hopper young players really stepped up again and it’s a great sign for the future and moving forward to the finals.
AWARDS: Brooke Knight, Brylee McCarty and Jodie Bigger.
B Grade
Deniliquin Rovers 36 def by Rennie 37
Not the best start in the first quarter for B Grade meant a bit of chasing had to be done for the lead on the scoreboard.
The girls regrouped at half time and made better decisions on the court with stronger leading and passing to the chest or in front.
A tight finish to walk away with the one goal win but moving forward as a team the Hoppers know what to do.

The girls came out firing starting the game with great defensive pressure and created plenty of turnovers that the shooters capitalized on, ending the first quarter with a ten-goal lead.
The girls kept up the momentum in the second quarter, pushing the lead out to 21 at half time.
After making some changes the girls lost a bit of their momentum in the final two quarters but they kept pushing to come away with a strong win.
With plenty to still work on and with one game left of the home and away season, the girls are keeping up the hard work ready for finals.

Another tough game and there were some patches of great play.
The Hoppers need to lift their game, train hard and come out with high intensity from the start next week.

As expected, the opposition would be very strong and the Hoppers were trailing at quarter time by two goals.
The girls worked really hard to be up by two at half time.
A couple of players were changed and the Hoppers down again by two goals at three quarter time.
It was really good to see the girls work really hard and strive for the win to come away with a two goal win.
Credit to all the girls who played. Bring on finals.

Under 13s
Deniliquin Rovers 21 defeated Rennie 11
Coming up against second on the ladder, the Hoppers knew it would be a tough game this week, but the girls were willing to try their best.
Deniliquin’s height all over the court made it hard for the Hoppers to get any flow on the ball.
But credit to the girls who fought hard all game.
There were some great passages of play in the attacking end and also some great defensive effort.
Rennie will learn a lot from this week’s game and hopefully come out bigger and better next week and for finals.
AWARDS: Georgia Phillips, Heleena Shaw, Lucy Bassett and Mackenzie Clarke.
Under 11s
The Rennie Hopperettes struggled to warm up on Saturday with the cold wind at Deni. The girls played a great “eight set” of netball.
With the focus this week on space and passing to the chest.
One more game to go for the Rennie minis and this has again been another successful year for the girls.
AWARDS: RRR Canteen - Demi Rhodes, Courtyard Café – Holly Hadley and McDonald’s - Chloe Perryman.
This Thursday is the last training session for the Under 11s girls, and in the spirit of fun and to celebrate the end of the home and away series, all of the Junior and Senior netballers are encouraged to come dressed “Tight and Bright”.
So from headbands to legwarmers and everywhere in between, the club would like to see plenty of colour out at the Rennie Recreation Reserve.
