The Bulldogs headed into Deakin Reserve with a league-wide bye to come the following weekend, and ensured they left it all out on the court in the round seven clash against the Demons.
A burst out the blocks set the red, white and blue up for victory, as Charlette Gray did the damage inside the goal circle.
Gray scored Tatura’s first eight goals of the match to run out to an early five-goal advantage, before a section of back and forth play between the Dees and Dogs.
However, another surge headlined by Gray’s goal scoring saw Tatura enter the quarter-time break with an eight-goal advantage.
Shinea Sali’s girls weren’t going to let the visitors waltz towards a win though and upped the ante across the next terms.
The Demons went goal-for-goal across the second period, reducing the margin by one heading into the half-time huddle, trailing 16-23 after a low-scoring quarter.
However, United was once again tasked with reeling back the deficit after an early 5-0 run in the third term that extended the lead into double figures, giving the Bulldogs plenty of hope they could hold on for victory.
A starring purple patch by Demon Hannah Onley wrangled the margin closer for the Demons again, but Gray and Julia Clarke powered through the momentum to secure Tatura its fourth victory of 2026, winning 45-38.
Around the A-grade landscape, the top-of-the-table clash between Euroa and Mooroopna saw the Magpies become the final standing undefeated side of the season, with a 14-goal victory over the Cats.
Echuca heads into the bye in second place after an eight-goal away win over Seymour, while Shepparton defeated Benalla 56-21 to also be at six wins at the bye.
Shepparton Swans defeated Rochester by 27 and Mansfield beat Kyabram by 38 in the round’s other matches.
Tatura will face the unbeaten Magpies after the bye on May 30, while Shepparton United will look to respond against Kyabram.
