The Salvation Army hall open day will not be going ahead, however people can still make a booking to tour the hall if they would like to.
Through a Bendigo Bank grant, the group is set to print more copies of the ‘Live and Prosper’ book.

Settlement Engagement Transition Support Program
Settlement worker Amanda Sam was the guest speaker for this month’s community chat, where she spoke to attendees about her role.
Ms Sam helps newcomers to Australia living throughout the region access key services such as employment, housing, healthcare and education.

Dying to Know Day
Local end-of-life doula Esther Guinea is set to host an event for Dying to Know Day in August.
The event will bring together services and resources for people to explore and learn more about things they may need to consider at the end of their lives.

Salvation Army
The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal has officially launched.
Volunteers will be collecting donations outside Major’s IGA from Monday, June 1.
Rochester RSL Club
Following a successful Anzac Day, the Anzac appeal has received more than $10,000 in donations.
Rochester Lions Club
The container deposit scheme is now in its fourth week and has been successful so far, with thousands of containers received.
The club will host a community open day on Sunday, May 31, at the Lions shed and collection depot site at 69 Baynes St.
Rochester Community House
Rochester Community House is set to officially launch its mental health program, supported by Agnico Eagle, on Thursday, May 28.
A farmers’ event will also be held on Monday, June 8, at the Rochester Racecourse Recreation Reserve from 1pm for local farmers and their families.
The event will include a free lunch and children’s activities.
Following the installation of new computers, Rochester Community House will also run the Be Connected program for people wanting to improve their digital literacy.
