Murrumbidgee Local Health District has appointed Emma Field as its new Chief Executive.

Currently serving as Executive Director Service Delivery, Ms Field brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to the role and will oversee more than 5000 staff and a broad network of hospitals and community health services across the district.
During her career with MLHD, Ms Field has led major initiatives including the establishment of the Health Emergency Operations Centre during COVID-19, implementation of the Voluntary Assisted Dying program, and development of innovative paediatric and virtual care strategies.
MLHD Board Chair Adrian Lindner said Ms Field’s leadership and relationship-building approach would strengthen connections with staff, communities and healthcare partners across the district.
Ms Field said she was committed to being visible, listening openly and making decisions in the best interests of the communities MLHD serves.

Vikki Petraitis, award winning true-crime author and podcaster, will dive into the craft of storytelling and the real-life investigations that inspire her true-crime work.in this lively, candid session.
With plenty of behind-the-scenes detail, she unpacks how stories evolve, and why crime, mystery, and human behaviour continue to captivate audiences.
Vikki Petraitis is the author of 20 books including The Frankston Murders, and the creator of several true crime podcasts series with Casefile Presents that have been downloaded over 10 million times.
Her novel The Unbelieved won the Allen & Unwin Crime Fiction Prize as well as the The Readers’ Choice award in the 2023 Davitt Awards and will hit the screens as Dustfall starring Anna Torv on the ABC late this year.
Vikki’s latest true crime book is The Vanishing of Vivienne Cameron, released in January this year, and covers 40 years of investigations into the 1986 Phillip Island murder of Beth Barnard and the disappearance of Vivienne Cameron.

The St Andrews Uniting Church community in Yarrawonga is hosting a special Devonshire Tea afternoon on Thursday, June 4 at 2pm, with all proceeds going to the charity Angel Flight.
The event will be held at St Andrews Uniting Church, located on the corner of Tom and Piper Streets, Yarrawonga. Tickets are $10 per person.
Guests will also hear from local resident Mark Pharoah, who has volunteered his time flying many missions for Angel Flight, helping Australians in rural and regional areas access medical treatment.
