The doors may have shut last Sunday at Mulwala’s Royal Mail Hotel but any report that closure is for good is not true according to the owner.
“No way. It’s part of the community,” owner Robert Porto told the Yarrawonga Chronicle on Monday.
“It’s a temporary closure and will re-open as soon as possible.”
Crowds flocked to the popular hotel over the weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Kardy Verra as the publican.
Without putting a date on it, the hotel will reopen as soon as possible, Mr Porto emphasised.
“It’s just part of business we’re going through at the moment.”
Mr Veera, who commenced as hotelier on July 1, is disappointed in vacating the premises and was hoping for a different resolution.
