The current hall replaced one built in 1891, but this hall has been a centre of the local community for 100 years.
“We wonder what stories the walls could tell us if only they could talk,” committee member Chontelle Gorman said.
“To celebrate this birthday, the committee are thrilled to welcome back Damian Callinan as part of his Hall Stories Tour.
“We look forward to hearing what gems of information he can share about our hall and the wonderful folk of the area who have contributed over the years and continued to make sure the hall was and continues to be a place where all can come and meet neighbours and friends, celebrate milestone events, and enjoy entertainment of various kinds.
“As Damian says, ‘Every hall has a story to tell, and I am happy to eaves dop and using my skills as a comedian and a storyteller, I will pull back the curtain and examine the quirks, traditions and characters of the Savernake School of Arts Hall’.”
Damian will deliver a hilarious show and later deliver a podcast to document the halls story.
The committee is hoping to see a full hall to celebrate this milestone birthday for the hall and the Savernake and surrounding communities.
Join in for a unique night with Damian Callinan as he dives into the quirks, traditions and unforgettable characters that make rural halls so special.
It’s more than a show, it's a celebration of community.
