As the Riverina is one of the wool capitals of Australia, it was no surprise to see so many gun shearers on hand for the competition, as well as some top-level wool handlers.
Across the day, shearers battled in the heat to bring home some strong results.
One of the most coveted awards of the competition is the Ernie Beehag Memorial Best Local Shearer.
This year it was awarded to Grant Lundie.
Other results are as follows:
Open shearer - Sam Makrill, 1; Paul Robertson, 2; Nathan Doyle, 3; Jake Sullivan, 4.
Senior shearer: Jake McArdle, 1; Nathan Van Elk, 2; Jonathan Smith, 3; Joseph Knoll, 4.
