The combination of Darren Edwards, Ben Dundee and Ayden Ballantyne were deserving favourites after claiming three of four preliminary rounds, while Debbie Harbrow, Luca Macheda and Jason Bassett had to survive a three-way countback for their chance.
Debbie, Luca and Jason then seized the opportunity for glory in a very hard-fought contest to get the choccies with a 6/3 margin.
Congratulations go to both teams on making and contesting the final in one of the club’s very popular events.
Social night competitions saw Ashley Nicholls succumbing to Kevin Young on June 17, while “Mr Wednesday Night” Michael Barclay was triumphant against the very in-form Debbie Harbrow on June 24.
The tournament schedule now turns its attention to the Captain’s Cup, which will be conducted on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30.
The following Monday’s contest will be the Monthly Club Challenge, after which comes the club’s Diggers Tribute round for July.

There are a variety of events held every Monday and Wednesday evening, and there are plenty of opportunities for new players to join or come along to try the facilities.
The club has two excellently maintained full-size tables, which have recently been resurfaced, and a new state-of-the-art lighting system.
The snooker room is available for competition, practice and visitor use, and the club has its own regularly updated handicapping system to ensure players from beginner to advanced level can compete equally.
There are also plenty of experienced and skilled players who can help with advice and tips on how to improve players’ games or perhaps adapt them for those who have played pub or social pool in the past.
