Corowa welcomed the Tumbarumba Greens for their first game of the season, and it was clear to see that Tumbarumba ladies were ready to go.
Corowa were made to rue some errors with Tumba scoring off all of Corowa’s errors in the first half.
To the ladies' credit, they never gave up and were rewarded with a great try to Laura Daw.
The girls had a plan in the second half, but due to some calls not going their way they never managed to cross over the halfway line.
This made it hard and frustrating for the ladies’ side, but they continued to turn up for each other.

The Corowa Cougars faced off against the always physical and well-structured Tumbarumba Greens in another tough contest that tested both sides from the opening whistle.
As expected, the match was played at a high intensity, with plenty of heavy contact and strong defensive efforts across the park.
Corowa’s players showed plenty of determination, with every man putting his hand up to take the tough carries and make the crucial tackles as positions in the club’s best 13 continue to be fought for.
The Cougars displayed noticeable improvement in both discipline and structure, matching the Greens for much of the game in a fast-paced and physical encounter.
Despite the effort and resilience shown by Corowa, Tumbarumba managed to grind out the result, finishing with a bruising but hard-earned victory.
While the scoreboard didn’t fall Corowa’s way, the performance showed positive signs and plenty of commitment from the squad moving forward.
