Traffic barriers were to be removed on the road on Friday, June 4, but that will no be occurring now.
Greater Shepparton City Council has said that at this stage they do not have a new date for when this will happen, as it is dependent on the weather.
EARLIER: Road users are being reminded to take note of traffic changes as the upgrade of Mooroopna’s Toolamba and Simson Rds intersection continues.
Traffic management of the intersection will change on Wednesday, June 3.
The intersection is currently being upgraded to accommodate a B-Double-rated, single-lane, 80km/h roundabout, as part of the GV Link Enterprise Project.
Stage two of the works will be complete on June 3 when the Toolamba Rd barriers will be removed.
Traffic will then be operating in both directions through the roundabout.
Completion works will then take place during the night on Thursday, June 4, Friday, June 5, and Tuesday, June 9, between 8pm and 5am, if weather permits.
Completion works will include a final layer of asphalt and line-marking.
Nearby businesses and properties will still be accessible.
Greater Shepparton City Council urged motorists to follow signage and take care when travelling in the area.
Council expressed thanks to the community for their patience and co-operation during the infrastructure upgrades.
